INSURANCE -how it works in our office

How Santa Cruz Spine and Sport Handle Insurance and why

The insurances system incentives Chiro to Practice in high volume style resulting in fast impersonal interaction. That’s not us

We want to be Doctors who work for our Patients, not for the insurance companies

1.) For those with insurance we can email a “Superbill”. The superbill will have the diagnostic codes (ICD-10) and procedures codes (CPT) on it. All you have to do is send it into your insurance, and your insurance will reimburse you according to your out-of-network benefits.

Check to see if your insurance reimburses for chiropractic care. If you don’t, you might want to consider joining our VIP Monthly Chiro program, an afforable Chiropractic program to support your healthy lifestyle.

VIP Monthly Chiro Program: In 2025 VIP plans are $77/mo for a 15 minute session, or $105/mo for a 30 minute session.

  1. You never lose a visit. They roll over, even if you don't use them that month.

  2. The only “catch” is you are obligated to 3 months before you can cancel your membership.

We are trying to be creative and provide affordable, and effective ways that can help people stay healthy and happy. If this sounds interesting to you, text or call us at 831-713-8400 and say you want to start the VIP plan.

Online Booking: We also have online booking. Click on the links above or below. You can schedule, cancel or re-schedule appointments, and set text message reminders for appointments. It’s very simple and easy

Medicare- How it works here

We are registered with Medicare as “NON-PAR” provider with Medicare, which means the patient pays on the day of services. We bill out to Medicare, and then Medicare sends the patient the reimbursement portion for the chiropractic adjustment.

Medicare only covers chiropractic adjustments. They do not reimburse for examinations, exercises, muscle work, nutrition supplements, or shockwave. Medicare will kick non-covered procedures to the patients 2ndary (if they have 2ndary)
