Dr. Aaron Van Brunt

Dr. Aaron Van Brunt grew up here in Santa Cruz, CA. and has been a lifelong outdoorsman. At the age of 20, Dr. Aaron decided to join the U.S. Navy where he served from 2000-2006. After 6 years and 2 deployments he made the decision to exit the military and pursue his passion of fitness, health, and helping others. Instantly he was drawn to chiropractic as a profession because it was the perfect opportunity to not only help people, but also spread his love of health and wellness.

Dr. Aaron attended Palmer West Chiropractic College, graduating in 2016 with Summa Cum Laude honors and as Valedictorian of his graduating class. While at Palmer, he was involved in the school’s Sports Council and founded the “Veterans Club,” a club geared to help returning U.S. veterans find alternative solutions to their chronic pain and raise money for various veteran organizations. Today, along with being a husband and soon to be father, Dr. Aaron is still involved in the veteran community, coaches classes at CrossFit Amundson, practices Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga, is an avid mountain biker, snowboarder, and obstacle course racer.

Dr. Aaron is certified in Rocktape functional movement taping and is a CrossFit level 1 trainer. He specializes in sports injuries and is trained in many different soft tissue techniques. At Santa Cruz Spine and Sport Dr. Aaron Van Brunts treatments typically consist of soft tissue work if needed, manual diversified adjustments, and prescribed corrective exercises.
